What is important in this particular shot is the placement of the ball in thick rough. Bob points out that the main design element of the Renegar Golf Wedge that will come into play in this particular shot is the Aldila shaft design. Bob Renegar has a 25-year history of designing golf clubs for the Arnold Palmer’s Pro Group and the Ben Hogan Golf Company. Renegar’s initial career was in aerospace engineering and he also worked for FedEx in the 1980s in their engineering department. There, he began playing golf and observing the opportunities to improve the game of golf.
Renegar is a passionate golfer and loves the game of golf. Not an overnight garage tinkering, this design improvement found in the Renegar Wedge has been a work in process over the course of 18 years.

Wedge play has changed so much over the years. Now there are many uses for this kind of utility club. No longer is it “just a wedge”; it’s a far larger part of the game in terms of number of strokes that are committed to an average round of play.
